In 1519, when the great Spanish explorer, Hernando Cortez, arrived in Mexico and was mistaken by the locals as a descendant of Quetzalcoatl, the god of cocoa cultures, the Emperor of the Aztec gave Cortes a golden cup of xocolatl - a bitter drink made from cocoa beans. Recognizing something unique and precious in the drink, Cortes returned to Spain and took with him a ship loaded with cocoa beans and the secret knowledge of how to prepare the exotic and exotic cocoa drink of the Aztecs.

 Churros History

Sombrero Package

Churros, a long-shaped Mexican dessert made of fried dough with star-shaped edges, roasted at high temperature in oil, so that they remain tender on the inside and crispy on the outside with a history of over 500 years old, present on all continents of the world, has finally made its way to Romania coming from Mexico with an old story and a savory texture to offer.

This product unknown in Romania at that time was consumed in the world simply, with powdered sugar and cinnamon, soaked in syrup or with chocolate.

In order to please everyone, it was necessary to improve the original recipe to comply with local taste and be served both with sweet sauces (chocolate, apricot, strawberry) and with spicy sauces (ketchup, salsa, tabasco).

A product so complex and special required a name that represented a product so tasty and savory that a lucky combination of words meant to arouse interest and to suggest to people both a kind of product and a geographical indication of provenance such as " Crochete Mexicane" (Mexican Churros), was predictable.

Mexican Churros

A product as special and complex as mexican churros needed a suitable packaging that would complete its special taste with a noble and exclusive look.

As a result, the packaging "Sombrero" was designed, a name for an innovative packaging registered as an industrial model with the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks.

The Sombrero packaging, created exclusively for the product "Crochete Mexicane", to highlight a unique product, has an appearance of a Mexican hat overturned with two cutouts in the upper part of the hat where two glasses are inserted that will be filled with flavored sauces to everyone's choice.

The Sombrero package hat was colored in warm colors - yellow, red, orange - to inspire a tropical, friendly and pleasant atmosphere, and was decorated with a transversely with an intensely colored poncho with a specific Mexican design.
